LARGEST HOTEL IN DORTMUND OPENS IN THE HISTORIC DORTBERGHAUS

In the centre of Dortmund, an example of successful conversion of a historic administrative building has now been completed: The Dortberghaus, built between 1937 and 1938 between the station forecourt and the city centre, has been turned into a modern IntercityHotel and thus also the largest hotel in the city of Dortmund.

The B&L Group has lavishly restored the listed building with a gross floor area of 12,900 m² over the past three years and adapted it for its new use. A total of over 30 million euros was invested in the restoration. The plans were provided by Ralf Schulte-Ladbeck from the Dortmund architects' office A-SL-Baumanagement. The interior of the building was designed by Milanese architects Matteo Thun & Partners. The property has already been handed over to the new tenant, IntercityHotel GmbH. At the beginning of May, the hotel will open as a modern conference hotel with 231 guest rooms.
