Topping-Out Ceremony for ING Germany’s Headquarters
With ING Germany’s headquarters, a modern office tower with ambitious environmental standards is taking shape. On June 10, 2026, the topping-out wreath was placed on the roof of the 16-storey “HPQ Offices” building, which will become the future headquarters of ING Germany. This marks the completion of the structural works of the tallest building in HAFENPARK QUARTIER after 15 months of construction and represents another important milestone in the development of the district along Frankfurt’s River Main waterfront. The office tower is one of two buildings being developed as an office ensemble in the fourth construction phase of HAFENPARK QUARTIER, where the Hamburg-based developer is implementing ambitious standards for environmental sustainability. The complete elimination of fossil fuels during the operational phase will make a significant contribution to reducing CO₂ emissions. State-of-the-art building technologies are designed to minimize emissions. The buildings’ heating demand will be met primarily through renewable energy generated by wastewater heat recovery systems. Photovoltaic installations on the roofs and integrated into the façade further complement the energy concept. The ensemble has achieved pre-certification for LEED Platinum, WiredScore Platinum and SmartScore Platinum.
